1. In its endeavour to develop, promote and explore exports opportunities for the products of Textile industry from the country, Ministry of Textiles is organising ‘Textiles India – 2017’ at Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 30^th June to 2^nd July, 2017 to showcase India’s strength in the entire gamut of Textiles and apparel, value chains from farm to fiber and fiber to fashion as well as to establish India as a global sourcing and investment destination. 

2. Further, the show will also showcase the best of Indian handicrafts products like metalware, glassware, stoneware, wooden furniture, textiles based handicrafts, natural fiber products, etc. ‘Textiles India – 2017’ will have global and Indian leaders together at one platform and the event is being inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. 

3. The ‘Textiles India – 2017’ will have B2B and B2G meetings, thematic pavilions fashion shows, exhibition, conferences, culture performances. The event is being supported by various Ministries such as Finance, Commerce and Industry, Urban Development, Skill, Tourism and MSME. 

4. One of the highlights of this show is a promotional scheme for qualifying buyers entitles them to get economy class to and fro airfare on fixed reimbursement basis and hotel stay for three nights. 

5. The Textiles India 2017 will have very wide range of products on display which enable all kinds of buyers to source their requirements under one roof at one time. The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) has introduced a Special Promotional Scheme for buyers which entitle them to economy class air fare (to and fro) on a fixed reimbursement basis and complementary hotel stay for two or three nights [as per buyer’s schedule] during the show at New Delhi.
