1. ”Textiles India 2017” is being organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India from 30th June – 2nd July, 2017 at Mahatma Mandir, Ghandhinagar (Ahmedabad), Gujarat. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has been designated as the lead organization for coordinating this mega Event. This unique “Textiles India” (Reverse Buyer Seller Meet) is being funded under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme of the Government of India and supported by the Ministries of Commerce & Industry, and Textiles.

2. ‘Source India – 2016’, organized by the Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) at Surat on 13th and 14th August 2016 had left the Global Textile Industry asking for more of Incredible Textiles of India.  The Reverse Buyer Seller Meets (RBSM) generated an overwhelming response from both, esteemed exhibitors as well as the visiting buyers from various countries across the world. Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani graced Source India 2016 as the Chief Guest and was witness to the scale and grandeur on display. She carried back the blue print of an even bigger event and now ‘Textiles India-2017’ is scheduled to be inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi and Union Ministers from various Ministries will also be present on this occasion.
3. This mega event is spread over an air conditioned space of 40,000 sq. mtrs (for 1000 exhibitors) at Mahatma Mandir, Ghandhinagar (Ahmedabad), Gujarat.  The event shall also comprise major show stoppers like Fashion Show, Seminars, B2B meetings, Workshops, Theme/Trend Pavilion etc. Around 1000+ exhibitors representing all Textile EPCs/other Organisations/Institutions will be showcasing their products. Approximately 2500+ International Buyers, Agents, Fashion Designers, Retail Chain Stores, Buying Houses, Wholesalers from across the world will be attending this mega Event.
4. During the Meet, over 100 member-exporters of our Council will be exhibiting their latest range of Synthetic & Rayon Textile items including fabrics, home-textiles, made-ups, yarn & fibre.  The 3-day Mega Textile Show in Gandhinagar is primarily aimed towards aggressive selling of Indian MMF Textiles in the highly potential and emerging markets in the CIS Countries, Middle East, Asia, Africa, & South American Region.
5. SRTEPC plans to invite 100 leading buyers mainly from the above Regions to the “Textiles India” Conclave. The buyers will have a unique opportunity to see the latest textile-items under one roof, interact with the senior representatives of leading Indian companies and conclude profitable business deals.
6. The objective of holding the Mega Export Promotion Programme in Gandhinagar is as follows:

• To position Textiles India as a mega Annual International Event bringing global and Indian leaders together on the platform.
• Showcase India’s strength in the entire gamut of textile and apparel value chain, from farm to fibre to fabric to fashion
• Establish India as a global sourcing and investment destination

7. A core group of selected buyers invited for the Meet will be provided subsidized return air tickets / complimentary hotel accommodations in Gandhinagar for the period of the Meet.
