1st ASEAN-India Connectivity Summit with the theme "Powering Digital and Physical Linkages for Asia in the 21st Century" from 11-12 December 2017 and the ASEAN-India Business and Investment Meet & Expo at scheduled from 22-24 January 2018 at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi, India.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), India in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the ASEAN-India Centre (AIC) is organizing the 1^st ASEAN-India Connectivity Summit with the theme "Powering Digital and Physical Linkages for Asia in the 21^st Century" from 11-12 December 2017 and the ASEAN-India Business and Investment Meet & Expo at scheduled from 22-24 January 2018 at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi, India. 

2. Connectivity in all modes is the key to economic growth and development. For emerging economies, India and ASEAN in particular, linkages established through seamless physical and digital connectivity would help open up avenues for an intensified economic partnership. Development of regional and global value chains necessitate strong regional and sub-regional connections. Stronger connectivity across India's north eastern Region with ASEAN would foster a seamless network of production chains. 

3. Covering all these aspects, the ASEAN-India Connectivity Summit is poised to be a flagship event. It will address physical and digital connectivity subjects and will endeavour to intensify cooperation between India and ASEAN countries in order to accelerate connectivity prospects, evolve suitable policy recommendations, encourage enhanced trade, business alliances, technology transfers and financing of infrastructure projects. The objective of the Summit is to bring together key stakeholders from both Government and Industry from these two historically linked regions to deliberate on the partnership models that may be adopted between the governments to build infrastructure linkages between India and ASEAN Countries.
