The 7th edition of Technotex 2018 on technical textiles is being jointly organized by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with support from Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India scheduled during June 28-29, 2018 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India.

2.The Technical textile are high performance textiles which find apppcation not only in clothing but in area such as agriculture, medical, infrastructure development, automotive, aerospace, sports, protective clothing, packaging etc. Technical Textiles industry in India is at a nascent stage and is expected to cross the market size of 1, 1 5,000 crore in 2018.

3.The Industry, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India in association with federation of India Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organizes Technotex series of International Exhibition and Conferences. Technotex provides a platform for stakeholders from across the value chain to interact and forge alpances with textiles industries from across the globes.

4.The sixth edition of this series held in 2017 on the theme “Advantage India: Emerging Global Manufacturing hub For Technical Textiles’ was an extremely successful endeavour garnering participation from Industry across the global. The event attracted 6781 business visitors and International participants from countries pke China, Taiwan (ROC), USA, France, U.K, Switzerland, Belgium, Israel, Russia, Indonesia, Germany, Bangladesh, Botswana, Czech Repubpc, Ghana, Turkey, Kenya, South Korea, Lesotho, Peru, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Thailand, Columbia, and others. Around 350 delegates attended the conference. More than 60 international companies combined with a huge domestic participation propelled the success of Technotex 2017.

5.Technotex 2018 will attract participation from stakeholders in technical textiles sector as well as major institutional buyers from Army, Navy, paramiptary forces, railways, Border Roads Organizations, Hospitals, Construction companies etc.
