Advisory on Immigration Transactions in Malaysia, after the Movement Control Order (MCO) Period

The Immigration Department of Malaysia has announced certain measures to help with the facilitation of immigration services to foreigners in Malaysia after the MCO period.

Firstly, foreigners whose passes have expired from January 2020, and have obtained tickets to return to their home countries, are exempted from immigration pass facilitation at Immigration Department offices within 14 working days after the MCO period; and will thus be able to leave Malaysia directly without penalties.

Secondly, validation and facilitation for passes that have expired before or during the MCO period can be done within 30 working days after the MCO period at all immigration offices in Malaysia.

Immigration Department has further notified that after the MCO period, all services involving foreigners will only be done by appointment, and no walk-in-customers will be entertained. The list of the appointment systems for immigration is given below:
