A Special Counter Facility for the Return of Illegal Immigrants at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

 

    This is to inform all Indian citizens who have overstayed in Malaysia that the Immigration Department has opened a special counter at Kuala Lumpur Airport to facilitate return of illegal immigrants by payment of the immigration fine of RM 500 at the airport starting from 8 July 2021. Those Indian nationals desirous of paying overstay fine can straightaway walk-in at the special counter at least 6 hours prior to departure and there is no requirement of a prior appointment.

Terms and conditions to avail this facility at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are given below:

  • Go to Kuala Lumpur International Airport-1 (KLIA1) special recalibration counters at level- 3, domestic arrival area. Enter KLIA 1 using entrance No 2, 3, 5 or 6 at Departure Hall level 5 for health screening before proceeding to level 3 arrival.
  • No need to obtain any online appointment and intending persons can directly walk in.
  • Arrive at KLIA 1 on the day of departure at least 6 hours prior to departure time.
  • One must carry negative RT-PCR COVID-19 result, conducted not more than 72 hours from the date of departure.
  • Payment of RM500 compound by Debit/Credit Card or Touch 'n Go e-wallet only. Use of Touch'nGo e-wallet is recommended.
  • Counter Opening Hours- 24x7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) .
