Foreign workers who are employed legally in Malaysia are covered under the applicable compensation and social security provisions. Their employers are responsible for ensuring such coverage in accordance with Malaysian law.

In the event of death of a legally employed foreign worker, the next of kin may submit a claim for the applicable compensation and benefits. Kindly refer to the attached advisory for detailed guidance on the claim procedure and the documents required.

Foreign workers who are illegal and working without valid visa/authorization are not eligible for compensation under the Malaysian social security framework.
