● High Commission of India receives periodic updates on suspected Indian detainees from Malaysian detention camps. After establishment of the Indian nationality, the process of repatriation of the Indian detainees is started. The family members are contacted for the arrangement of the return ticket and Covid test fee, if not fully vaccinated, for the date conveyed by the detention camp to the High Commission of India.
● The economically weaker family needs to submit an income certificate from the SDM/DM office for arrangement of tickets on government cost. In case of any administrative difficulty in obtaining such a certificate, the family may contact the NRI cell of their respective states.
