  1. Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), one of the first and largest Energy Service Companies (ESCO) in South Asia, was set up as a Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. It was established through equity participation of four Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) under the Ministry of Power (NTPC, Power Grid, Power Finance Corp., and Rural Electrification Corp.).
  2. Among other objectives, the primary goal of EESL is to implement Energy Efficiency projects for demand-side measures, including street lighting, the Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (UJALA – LED Bulb Distribution Programme), power distribution sector, agriculture/municipal pumps, public buildings, and smart metering.
  3. The latest addition to these measures is the rollout of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (single-phase metering) (AMI) solution in Uttar Pradesh, India.
  4. In this context, EESL has published an EOI under International Competitive Bidding (ICB). The relevant EOI documents and information are attached herewith. The notice has been widely published on the following platforms:
