Notice Inviting Tender

Subject : The Construction of RCC Structure for Torana Gateway at Little India, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, for High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur.
The High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur, for and on behalf of the President of India invites tender from contractors of repute for the following work:

Eligibility Criteria of Tenderer/ Contractor 

Contractors who fulfil the following requirements shall be eligible to apply. These criteria are indicative. Exact details are available in the tender documents.

The Contractor should have at least seven years’ experience in execution of similar:-

1. Projects in Malaysia, preferably prestigious stone/ monument and allied streetscape works.
2. The Contractor should have satisfactorily completed during the last seven years ending 31.3.2015, as per details in the tender.
   1. three similar works costing not less than RM 0.56 million each OR
   2. two similar works costing not less than RM 0.84 million each OR
   3. one similar work costing not less than RM 1.12 million
3. The Contractor should have an average annual turnover of at least RM 0.42 million during the last three financial years, as per details in tender.
4. The Contractor should have a bank solvency of at least RM 0.56 million.

Issuance of Tender Document

Desirous Contractors may obtain the tender documents from:

VERITAS Contracts Sdn Bhd,
B-7-13 Block B, Megan Avenue II,
12 Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.

The Tender Documents can be collected during normal office hours from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, starting from 30th April  2014.

Prior to collection of the Tender Documents, you are required to submit a non-refundable Tender Documentation Charges of RM 150.00 (One Hundred Fifty Ringgit only) in the form of Bank Draft or Money Order payable to “Veritas Contracts Sdn. Bhd.”

TIME AND VENUE FOR SUBMISSION OF TENDERS

The Tender together with all supporting and accompanying documents, drawings and letters must be submitted in a Two (2) Separate sealed cover and endorsed as follows:

VOLUME 1 - Technical Bid Documents
VOLUME 2 - Financial Bid Documents

are to be deposited at the Tender Box at the above address not later than 3.00 pm on 20th May 2015, and the opening of the Tender (Technical Bid documents only) will be on the same day at 3.30p.m. All Tenderer's representatives are encouraged to attend the opening of the Tender Documents exercise.

The tender document not accompanied by Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) / tender security of RM 28,000.00 shall not be considered as valid for opening. EMD be submitted in the envelope containing Technical Bid Documents. EMD will be refunded to only unsuccessful bidders after short listing for opening of financial bid & no interest will be paid thereon.

lf any information furnished by the applicant is found incorrect at a later stage, he/she ,shall be liable to be debarred from the tendering process The Embassy reserves the right to verify the particulars furnished by the applicant independently.

The High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur reserves the right to reject any prospective application without
assigning any reason and to restrict the list of pre-qualified contractors to any number deemed suitable by it.
