Health Tech India 2019 - 3-5 February 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India 

          The 2nd edition of Health Tech India, is being organised by CII from 3 – 5 February 2019 at Pragati Maiden, New Delhi, India. It is an international exhibition & conference on the entire gamut of healthcare including medical devices, equipment technology, pharma, Ayurveda, consumables and hospital supplies. 

2. The event is supported by various Government Ministries – Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ashman Bharat, Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Department of Pharmaceuticals and Department of Biotechnology. All departments of Ayushman Bharat at Centre and States are actively involved and supporting the event. Various State governments are supporting the event and will be sending their purchase officers to make new collaborations for joint ventures etc. 

3. Japan is the Partner Country for the second consecutive edition of the event. The event will have large participation from various Countries in Health Tech India. Large international healthcare brands like Siemens, Phillips, 3M, GE, Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, Terumo, and Roche are participating among many others. 

4. The Indian healthcare market is expected to reach Rs. 8.6 trillion (US$ 133.44 billion) by 2022. The hospital industry in India stood at Rs. 4 trillion (US$ 61.79 billion) in 2017. Ayushman Bharat – The National Health Protection Scheme is the new initiative which has been rolled out by Government of India and will provide health protection to an additional 10 crore families, 50 crore individuals. This is a new segment of Indian population which is been covered under health care in India and as such is the new market for potential investors. It is expected to create 100,000 jobs in India. The number of primary health centres (PHCs) increased to 32,783 and number of sub centres reached to 167,759.   Given the size of healthcare market in India, there is a huge potential for healthcare companies to enter the Indian market and do business. 

5. Health Tech India 2019 is a comprehensive healthcare event and an ideal platform to further trade and development, enhance strategic cooperation, joint ventures, technology transfers and b2b meetings between all stakeholders. With the rolling out of Ayushman Bharat, Indian government hospitals, private hospitals and nursing homes are looking at new collaborators to buy products and technology in order to upscale their facilities to fulfil their additional healthcare targets. It would be an ideal platform for the medical equipment manufacturers and healthcare service providers to offer affordable, accessible, quality equipment / services and showcase the latest technology in this sector. 

6. A ‘Start-up Hub’ will be setup at the event where all the established and upcoming start-up in the health sector will participate. A large number of start-up are members of CII. They e will use the synergy for the Health Tech event. Health Tech India 2019 will be an ideal platform for many international companies wanting to expand their business and setup joint ventures in India. They can help facilitate and setup b2b meetings for participating organisation and its members. 

7. There will be a daylong conference on the 4th of February on ‘New and emerging technologies for healthcare’. It will focus on the various aspects of the healthcare sector and some of the sessions would be on digitalization of healthcare, artificial intelligence in healthcare, cybersecurity in digital healthcare among others. 

8.
