1. The Council for Leather Export (CLE), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India is organizing the 19^th UITIC International Technical Footwear Congress from 3 – 5 February 2016 at Chennai, India with funding support from the Government under the Market Access Initiative Scheme (MAIS).  
2. The 19^thInternational Technical Footwear Congress has a very interesting central 'Theme' i.e "FUTURE FOOTWEAR FACTORY”. At this technical Footwear Congress, Research Papers relevant to the theme will be presented as Oral Papers or as Visual Posters.  Besides certain reputed global footwear industry experts will be invited as 'Guest Speakers' by the CLE. For Overseas Delegates to the Congress, the CLE will organize visits to Indian Footwear Factories.The Council is targeting to have about 450 delegates comprising 300 from India, and 150 from overseas. It is to be highlighted that the dates for the subject 19th UITIC Congress are contiguous with India's most popular and well-attended international Leather Fair ie the India International Leather Fair (IILF), Chennai, Jan' 31-Feb' 3 2016.  Hence this is a unique opportunity for global Footwear & Leather Industry stakeholders like Manufacturers, Technologists, Designers, and Supply Chain participants including Raw Materials, Chemicals & Components Suppliers Footwear & Design Training & Educational institutes, etc to attend these two key international events in early-February 2016 in Chennai, India. 
3. As the Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers Association (MFMA) is a member of the Confederation of International Footwear Associations (CIFA), delegates from Malaysia are entitled to discounted Registration Fee of US$ 100 as against Registration Fee of US$ 300 being levied on Overseas Delegates.
