In addition to the above fees for EC, amounts of RM 9 will be charged towards Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) fee and RM 9.50 towards the service fee by the service provider, the BLS International Services Ltd. Additionally 1.5% of the total fee to be paid will be charged on payments made by Debit Card.

1. What is an Emergency Certificate or EC and what is its validity?

This is one time travel document for travel back to India. It is valid for six months.

2. Can I travel to any third country on EC?

No

3. Can I gate a duplicate EC?

Yes. EC will be handed over you after you show a valid air ticket for travel to India.

4. Can I hold a valid Passport and EC at a time?

No, you can hold only one travel document at a time.

5. Can I travel to India on a Passport after I am issued an EC?

NO. Your Passport is cancelled while issuing the EC.
