  • 2.   Charges for Surrender of Passport and Renunciation of Citizenship are as given:

    Surrender of Passport and Renunciation of Citizenship are two separate formalities. However, both formalities have to be completed by Indian Citizens acquiring foreign citizenship on or after 1.6.2010./b>

     Note: If both Renunciation and Surrender are done together, ICWF fee will be charged once

Note: A fee of INR 7000/- is to be charged for Renunciation of Citizenship vide Citizenship Rules 2009 from the applicant who acquired foreign citizenship on or after 01.06.2010, if not already paid at portal (MHA website) due to technical problems, a proof of the payment to be provided if paid. Another amount of INR 1000/- is to be chares for witnessing the declaration made vide Rule 38 of Citizenship Rules at the Mission (Schedule IV Citizenship Rules 200).

  1. 3.   RM 8 (USD 2) as ICWF charges and RM 9.95 as IVS’s outsourcing service charges will also be payable in addition to above rates.
  2. 4.   No charges for registration of death.
  3. 5.  Gratis Life Certificate: Gratis Life Certificate to be issued to Government employees.
