The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), Government of India with the support of Ministry of Law and Justice, the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR) and Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) is organising a “Global Conference on National Initiative towards Strengthening Arbitration and Enforcement in India”. Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India is the Chief Patron of the Conference. The Conference will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble President of India and addressed by distinguished International and Indian speakers. The conference will be held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi from 21-23 October 2016.

The top five international arbitral institutions namely Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), International Court of Arbitration (ICC), Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) along with key industry Associations like Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry (ASSOCHAM) and PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry are also supporting the event.

3. The Conference aims to provide a platform to the Indian legal and policy making fraternity to engage with the broader international commercial arbitration community. It will provide an opportunity to the participants to discuss critical issued relating to arbitral experience, sharing of internarial best practices and drawing a roadmap to strengthen arbitration and its enforcement in this country.
