18th June 2014, to pursue Undergraduate, Professional and General courses in India

1. The Government of India has announced a special scholarship programme for the children of Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) for pursuing undergraduate professional and general courses in India during the commencement of the 2014-15 academic year. Scholarships are being offered for Undergraduate courses in disciplines including Engineering / Architecture / Technology, Humanities / Liberal Arts, Commerce, Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Applications, Journalism, Hotel Management, Agriculture / Animal Husbandry, Sciences, Law, Ayurveda, etc., except for medical-related courses.

2. The scholarship offers 75% of the Institutional Economic Cost (IEC) or US $ 4,000, per annum, whichever is less. IEC includes Tuition fee, Hostel fee and other institutional charges (Food charges are excluded).

4. The last date for receipt of the applications for the Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) 2014-15 has now been extended till 18th June 2014.

5. The duly filled-in applications forms should be sent before 18th June 2014 directly to: The Project Manager (SPDC), Placement & Secondment Division, Educational Consultants India Limited (Ed.CIL), Ed.CIL House, No. 18A, Sector-16A, NOIDA-201301, Uttar Pradesh (UP), India.
