Global Investors Summit 2016 will be organising from 22 – 23 October 2016, at Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
2. Over the last decade Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a radical transformation in terms of economic and social development. The state has recorded an impressive growth in GSDP averaging over 9% during the last decade of stable governance, supplemented by creation of a robust support infrastructure in terms of roads, water supply and irrigation capacity and a year round 24X7 power supply. The abundant manpower of the state has been developed into a skilled technical workforce, with the presence of world class institutes like IIM, IIT, AIIMS, Engineering colleges and several ITIs.
3. Having established a strong pedestal for rapid economic development, the people centric transparent policies and hassle-free investment procedures in the state are gradually making Madhya Pradesh a Global Investment Hub. Already, domestic and global multinational firms including TCS, Infosys, John Deere, Bridgestone, Reliance, Rio Tinto, Cummins, Volvo, Novartis, AkzoNobel, Teva and Essar have made investment in the state. This biennial event provides multiple business opportunities for private sector investment in the state. The Global Investors Summit 2014 had a participation of 9 partner countries, 5,000 business delegates, 200 VIPs including Ambassadors and High Commissioners from 28 countries and 300 international participants from 10 countries.
4. The Government of Madhya Pradesh, have launched GIS 2016 portal (www.investmp.com) on 6th April, 2016. The platform will provide entire set of services for GIS 2016 including event registration, seminars registration, intention to invest registration (single window clearance system), logistics, and meeting scheduling and booking facility. Participation in GIS 2016 would benefit the participants in three ways – Firstly; they will be apprised of the investment opportunities present across various sectors in Madhya Pradesh. Secondly, they will be apprised of the conducive policy framework and available fiscal support across sectors in Madhya Pradesh. Lastly, on account of participation of approximately 1,000 domestic companies and key head honchos in the summit, there will be abundant opportunity for B2B interactions that might lead to JVs/ strategic partnerships.
