The Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL), is set up by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India for the purpose of developing and promoting exports of textile products, i.e. various fabrics, specialty fabrics, made-ups & home textiles, proposes to organise an International Reverse Buyer Seller Meet at Bengaluru by inviting potential buyers & importers from SAARC, ASEAN, Africa, Europe and American Continents. The event will be held on 17th & 18th, Nov, 2016 at Bengaluru, Karnataka (India). This event is guided and supported by Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India.
2. City Bengaluru is one of the major hub of textile industry of India. Bengaluru is a reputed hub for manufacturing silk fabrics, furnishing fabrics and home textiles. There are about 70 technical textile units in and around Bengaluru. Besides, there are about 1500 readymade garment manufacturing units, producing and exporting value added woven and knitted garments, special garments like blazers, winter coats, gloves etc. All International buying houses of textiles and garments are located in Bengaluru making it one of the important global textile centre. It is also world famous for housing major IT companies and also had good connectivity through its international airport, besides well connected road and railways from all major textile clusters of India.
3. PDEXCIL has been organizing such international events in India and abroad successfully. More than 100 leading Indian companies will be exhibiting/ showcasing the latest range of textile fabrics, industrial fabrics, specialty fabrics, made-ups & home textiles like Bed linen, Kitchen linen, Bath Linen, Living & Dining linen & Technical Textiles etc. before the visiting foreign buyers. Thus the visiting buyers will have an unique opportunity to see the latest products of leading textile companies under one roof.
4. A core group of selected buyers of foreign countries, invited for the event will be provided economy class return air tickets (to & fro) and complimentary hotel accommodation at Bengaluru for the period of the event, as per guidelines.
