1. | The Government of India has lifted the restriction of a two-month gap between two consecutive visits for travel of Malaysian nationals to India on a tourist visa. Consequently, there is no longer any restriction for Malaysian nationals traveling to India for tourism purposes on a valid tourist visa. All other procedures for applying for an Indian tourist visa remain unchanged. This measure would further ease travel for Malaysian nationals visiting India for tourism purposes. |
2. | Malaysian nationals who have valid tourist visas to travel to India can download, if required, a copy of the official Press Release from the website of the High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur (www.indianhighcommission.com) for clarification. |
3. | It is also highlighted that for travel for other purposes to India, including business, trade, etc., there was previously no restriction on the gap between two visits for Malaysian nationals traveling to India. The procedure for applying for a visa for all other categories remains the same. |
