The Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, in association with the Powerloom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL) and other textile Export Promotion Councils/Trade Associations, is organizing a mega international event “Textiles India - 2017” from 30th June to 2nd July 2017, at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, to bring global and Indian leaders on one platform for trade promotion of textile products. The event will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Five Union Ministers from different ministries of the Government of India will chair conferences on various themes. The Hon’ble Minister of Finance will deliver the valedictory address. Chief Ministers from the states of Gujarat, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Jharkhand will be part of state sessions and conferences during the show. There will be around 1,000+ exhibitors, 2,500+ international buyers, and 15,000+ domestic buyers. A wide range of products will be exhibited, from fibers to fabrics to garments and home textiles.

2. In this regard, PDEXCIL is inviting potential buyers from Malaysia. The selected buyers will be provided economy class airfare (to & fro) and hotel accommodation for the duration of the event by the Government of India. Buyers willing to participate in the event are required to apply online to PDEXCIL and register themselves on the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, portal.
