1. The Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC) has been set up by Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to strengthen economic engagement with the Indian Diaspora.

2.As part of the new initiatives, OIFC will organize visits of Indian Diaspora business delegations (both NRIs and PIOs) to either specific State(s) in India or focused on a specific sector(s). For these delegations, OIFC will organize the following:

a) Meetings with potential business partners, banks, domain expert consultants.

b) Meetings with senior officials from relevant Central Government departments especially those anchoring flagship programmes of Govt of India viz Make in India, Re-invest (renewable energy), Digital India, Smart Cities, Namami Gange etc.

c) For sector specific Diaspora delegations, OIFC will organize meetings with the concerned Ministries.

d) Meetings with relevant State Govt officials and visits to the State(s).

e) Field visits.

3.An OIFC official will accompany the delegation throughout the programme. OIFC will charge a nominal fee per participant for this service.

4.OIFC will identify & assess the business requirements of the delegation members, identify potential business partners and organize B2B & B2G meetings. A lead time of 2-3 months is required to organize a good programme in India.

5.The visits could be during Investor Meets in States, or large sector-specific Investor Summits scheduled in India or even independent of the two. Some of the scheduled Investor Meets are:

6.The flyer is attached herewith. OIFC can draw up similar detailed matrix of the sector /state interests for the Overseas Indian business delegations and set up their meetings with State/Central Governments and Indian Businessmen.

7.Most states have declared the priority sectors for investments. Some states like Rajasthan have come out with a list of (90) specific projects ranging from infrastructure, healthcare, education, sanitation, renewable energy etc for investment. OIFC website.
